ok, it just looks a lot like grinding marks where you get tiny bits of white hot metal melt into the paint and then rust, so its these that are rusty rather than the car. if its not that then i have no idea what it could be. can you do a better photo as its not all that clear.

Looks like hot fall out which has 'melted' into the clear coat and rusted.
Do you have a clay bar? If not, get yourself some and give the car a going over with that. It will hopefully remove the deposits from the clear coat.
You will then probably have to do some kind of correction on the paintwork.
I don't know if you are into car detailing at present, but it is an addictive can of worms.
Good luck.

Try some iron x before you clay. It changes colour so will give you an idea if it is metal. Do you park near a train station - apparently they are bad for leaving fall out. Have a search on detailing world and be prepared as eob says-it could take over your life.

thanks for the advice guys i will try iron x before i clay. i dont park near a train station but come to think of it my dad works at a metal company (where they cut metal using lasers) and we have two black cars the audi and bmw and both have this marks on them. we swap cars every other week, so it might be metal deposits from his company.
