Tiguan Washer problem

Hi there,
I have a Tiguan 2011 (from outside the UK) and the front windscreen washer pump is working permanently even after stopping the car and locking the doors.
The only way to stop it is to activate the rear washer.
I went to VW and they told me that the 'Onboard supply control' needed be changed as it is on 'short circuit' and the price was around 1645 UK pounds.
Do you guys think i have an alternative?

Unfortunately no, i maybe should ask for it. Seems to be a good idea.
