Hi guys and girls 1st off glad to have joined your forum. My name is Ryan I'm in my 30's and live in Lancashire. I'm a car guy I have owned lots of different cars from a Frog eye Sprite and a Jenson Interceptor right up to my current and newly written off Mercedes CLS AMG. I fix cars paint em weld em basically I do everything only thing I can't do yet is upholstery lol but I'm going to do an evening course soon.

Anyway enough of my drivel lets get to the point, I have never owned an Audi and I really really like the look of the A8. I have 2 or 3 projects going on at the minute so I'm looking at this Fully Loaded Audi A8 3.0 TDI Diesel Quattro 4x4 (Not A4, A5, A6) Excellent | eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121302722873&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en) ,

The question is how easy would it be to convert/upgrade this to look like a newer model. I need examples pictures would be amazing, Parts needed eg lights wings bonnet bumpers (looking at second hand bits ideally so if anyone sees anything on ebay or knows anywhwere else let me know please) , Prices , Modification to exisiting body structure if needed and if any new updated parts will require addtional wiring.

I know its a lot of questions but I have been on forums such as this one for years and know alot of you will have done this or know someone who has

Thanks a million in advance

Ryan

Hi Ryan

I don't know anything about upgrading to look like a newer model I'm afraid, however I personally wouldn't call your eBay example fully loaded as most of what's listed is standard or fairly common. Tastes vary of course, but goodies you might be interested in are reversing camera, adaptive headlights, Bose or better, Audi Music Interface (for iPod or USB), comfort memory seats, DAB radio, automatic boot lid, adaptive cruise control and so on.

I think I'd be looking to spend the upgrade costs on a 2007+ model with the goodies you want. If you do want to go for an upgrade then there might be some activity on Audi-Sport (http://forums.audiworld.com/forumdisplay.php?f=60) but will be mostly US-based.

Keep us updated!

Cheers - Graham
