Hi Folks,
Last week while driving home my 1999 MK4 Golf 1.8T (AGU) just stopped ! It was as if the fuel just cut off and it lost all power
(power steering etc. died also) the only light remaining on the dash was the battery.
I pulled in and tried to restart the car. All the dash lights came on and went off as normal. It turned over fine but wouldn’t fire up.
After about 10 minutes it started and drove perfectly for two days and then the same thing happened while breaking to take a turn.
It’s with my local mechanic. There are no error codes…The fuel pump is working….both ICU and MAF were changed recently but
he confirmed that theres no spark getting to the plugs. Would a dodgy cam sensor cause this?
Any suggestions please?
