Mmi screen brightness adjust?

On my b8 a4 the mmi screen is quite dim.
Can this be turned up at all? If so how?
I've had it in a local garage and was told it's on full brightness so there must be a fault with it but I can't find how to adjust it.

Press CAR then SETUP and then one of the inner buttons should relate to Settings or Screen

Mine's got a pop up button at theside of the headlight switch turns up the headlights cluste and MMi brightness.
