Q: I got a letter from the local VW dealer 'reminding' me change my cambelt. My passat is 4 years old next month and I've done 41k, do i need to sort it out or are VW just after more of my cash?

nope they aint , it does need doing ;)

but you can get someone else to do it if you like !!!

The VAG group advise 60 k or 4 years..

To be honest, with only 41k you would be ok until about 50-60k i bet and these belts are strong... BUT... thats your call..

I too have been told that at 4 years old ( 32,000 miles ) my Passat is due a cambelt change (Diesel 130 )
I'm waiting for a quote.
Has anyone got any ideas on price, and what should be included.
