Hi all, was just wondering if anybody had retrofitted the pre face lift (2008+) B8, to the facelift (2012) B8?

Im looking to sell my B8 Audi A4 1.8t 2008 S Line soon, and change it to a newer A5 or another A4, but its only really worth £8000 max due to it having 105k on the clock and it being a petrol. Was wondering if I could do a facelift conversion and try to get a bit more £££ for it. Ive looked on eBay and you can pick up all the 2012 front end bits for around £1000. Is it worth a shot or should I just sell it how it is? And is it even possible?

Frankly I would have thought anyone after the facelift B8 will (ok, should) want the 170 tfsi too, so you'd be lucky to get that grand back. It's a gamble at best.

IMHO sell as-is and get a 2012. I 'upgraded' my late 2008 and am so much happier with this one.

A car is simply worth what someone is willing to pay, I'm afraid.

First glances/thoughts at a conversion like you suggest would be 'ringer', heavy front repair or 'my first Audi-Ricer'. Also the facelift is the rear lights too. I appreciate you are pondering this to sell it on but imagine that owner takes it to the dealer for some work or a part, the dealer will order off the chassis number and confusion and anger will ensue.

Get what you can for it privately, trade it against your new car or whatever, but just let it go. :)

If you've been offered 8k for it that's a good price IMHO. I paid 9.4k for a 2010 Petrol with 65k on the clock... so you are getting a very good offer at 8k for an 08 w/100k on the clock!

Its a S line (which helps a lot) with a fair few options and has a full audi service history. New continental tyres all around and 4 new pads and disks

Take the money and buy a new one! :)

I looked at retro fitting parts, you only need a bootlid and tail lights (unless you want the updated bumper too - but you can fit the boot lid without this). You will need a new bonnet (as the crease is slightly different), two new side panels, bumper, grill and lights. The parts should fit but might set you back more thn 1k. Especially if you have the xenons... finding the parts from a crashed car car be tought too..

Thanks Guys and Girls! I think I'm going to sell it how it is and get another Audi either a A3 Black Edition, A4 S line or a A5 S line. Looking to spend a maximum of 15k. Ive seen a A5's are a lot more when compered to a A4.
