Hello. I'm needing to carry out a forced regen on the 2.0tdi BRD r4 engine. I've manually regenerated it to bring my soot levels down. Does anyone know the security access key/pin so I can use the forced regen function? Thanks I. Advance.

Check this is the right one for your engine.

I carried out the top procedure and drove for ages and manages to get the soot just under 40. It was up at 120ish. The glow plug light still flashing and dpf light still on. Can erase dtc but comes straight back on. All exhaust temps are showing good 800degrees before turbo and can see it going into normal regen but never completed. Figured a forced regen would sort it. Normally work with Nissan and forged regen cures it 98% of the time. Dtc is 008194 (particulate trap bank1) p2002 - 006 efficiency below threshold.

Sensors are known to fail.

Would it not show a dtc for the failed sensor though? It's a 2007 so not sure if it come under the top or other process on wiki. Top was working, just couldn't get lights off. So thought forced would reset system. So access code would be idea to try, failing that is there anything else I could try to figure the problem?

G450 sensor as G suggests above.

Ok,replace G450 sensor then reobserve the situation? Do you have a part number so I can get it from TPS on Monday? Thanks

Could vary from model to model, TPS will get it from your reg/vin.

is the supply problem with this sensor sorted out yet ?

Might be worth looking into the Terraclean treatment.

XK8 that was suffering from failed emmissions test, was Terracleaned and helped no end...........just something to think about perhaps?

It's annoying cause when I'm trying to manually regen,I've had it as low as 25% which should the an issue but just now I can only get it around 40. You'd think you'd be able to get the glow and dpf lights off. Were is the location of the one that's needs replaced? Since there are a few sensors. It better not be on back order, haha

Glow plug, engine light and DPF light won't go out until the part is replaced. What is your email address PM me it and I'll send you the location?

That's why I was needing the access code so I can force the regen and try get it low by vcds and failing that is go for a sensor.

the g450 sits on top of the engine, one elec connector and 2 rubber pipes that go to either end of the dpf. it measures the pressure difference and is often replaced. they were unabailable last year, hopefully ok now. a terraclean treatment won't fix one though.

On the bulkhead? If so found it and the rubber pipe on the left is soft and kinked. Straightened it out but doubt it'll fix it but wouldn't have helped. Will wait till it's cooled and make sure the pipes/hoses ain't coked up either. How much roughly is the sensor? Will get it trade through work so hopefully bit cheaper. Does it need to be initialised or is it just plug and play? Thanks

should be about 50 notes and should be coded but they will work ok without.

Is there a way to check/diagnose the sensor not working properly? Measuring block, resistance test? Just before I buy one and doesn't end up working.
