front grill protectors for the air conditioning radiators

Earlier this week we had to have the wheels on our new Touareg repaired and the chap there advised me to get some after market protection screens fitted behind the two grilles either side of the main grille on the front of the vehicle to stop stones getting thrown up into the air conditioning radiators.

Has anyone come across these please and if so where might I purchase them from?

If there were any problems then VW would've incorporated the 'screens' into their design.

That is what I thought too, until I looked at it and sure enough the gaps are big enough to get some good sized stones through them, anyway prevention is probably better than cure, so if I can get some then I will.
