The best option is to get it professionally detailed, which will get it better than showroom condition.

Next option is to try yourself , but you would need to buy the kit - porter cable type polisher and the polishes - handy if you ever wanted to do again.

By hand polishing is extremely difficult, do your best bet may be to try and mask them with something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish.

Unfortunately black shows them up, so the key is really to prevent them with your washing technique.

I just picked up one of these DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher - Menzerna Intro. Kit - Clean Your Car (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-dual-action-polisher/das-6-dual-action-polisher-menzerna-intro-kit/prod_721.html), car isn't badly swirled but I've never used one a figured would make a good pressie to myself.

I got the same kit from detailing world a good few years ago and never looked back , had around 6 cars since buying and have done all of them with different pads and finishing polishes and the results have been perfect .

Have a look online for Gtechniq P1, it is amazing at safely removing swirl marks-my car was full of them and the best thing is its so easy you can do it by hand with a polishing sponge although a machine is a lot easier-take a look on you tube!

There's some reviews of P1 in action over on DW - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=189101 - I would heed the advice given about not using it too regularly.
