Another smoky 3.0tdi

Hello

New to Audi ownership - and really loving my 3.0tdi quattro.

It does, however, smoke a fair bit. Not excessively, but certainly white smoke when idling and smells of fuel.

I've googled a lot, and it seems new injectors would be required. My questions are;

*Should I try some sort of injector cleaner first, if so, which is best?
*Is there something else which could be casuing this, prior to checking with a diag?
*If injectors are required where is the cheapest place to buy online?
*I am told I would need Bosch 059 130 277BD - is this correct for a 2005 A4 3.0TDI

I have the 2.0TDI not the 3.0TDI, so things may be different, but.....

You are likely to find that the injectors are pretty robust, I did an engine rebuild on mine and took my injectors to a specialist for a clean. Their advice was unlikely to be needed even after 165k miles (had them done anyhow).

Replacing will be a small fortune, eliminate other options first.
