ECU coding after tow bar electrics fitted

I have just had a Westfalia tow bar and dedicated electrics fitted to my 2012 Bluemotion Sports 2.0 TDi The fitter claims to have coded my ecu. Can any one tell me exactly what coding needed to be done and how to tell if it was completed without using vagcom?

First of all how much were the electrics? If you attach a trailer does the car give any indication in doing so? Does it cut your parking sensors with the trailer attached?

Do you know where he fitted them? Did he run any wires to the front of the car? What was the name of the kit he used, part number would help.

Wired into fuse box and can bus in drivers footwell
No reversing sensor on car
Electrics work ok but just wondered how to tell if ecu coded for trailer stability etc.
