Hi all,

Just ordered a replacement key off eBay, but I need to know what to do next?

I'll need to replace the metal key blade and get it cut but what about programming it?

Is there anyone in NW who can do this and how much would I be looking to re programme it?

I don't know the answer to your question, but a interested to know how much your ebay key cost an will be keen to her if it works.
My experience of having a B6 keyfob coded was that the dealer did it for £25 when the car was having other work or service done.

Hey Boy,

I got it for 29.99, 8T0 959 754 D

Just looking for a blank blade now! Seen them but just waiting.

My B6 got recoded for £20 at an accessory shop in Darwen.

Ain't real as any luck with car keys! Bora only had one, a4 b6 one, current b6 passat has two but only one opens the doors remotely.. And this new one one only! Starting to see a pattern!

Thanks. That item looks like a S/H fob. I was under the impression that the transponders could not be recoded and that the transponder was not removable from the B8 fob. If you find otherwise, I shall be very pleased to hear it. Will you try to have it recoded by your man in Darwen?
