What's your service history like? Full Audi and on time?

Considering the car is 3yrs out of warranty a goodwill gesture will be slim.

You'll not get it done for free, the car is 6yrs old.

Ask for a goodwill contribution, you might be lucky.

i have a 2009 with 61000 which is using 1ltr which fluctuates from 400 to 600 miles between needing top ups, any further updates on this issue regarding fixes and dealer responses.

I have heard of some people getting the work done free of charge after their car was out of warranty. I had a goodwill gesture so out of the nearly £6000 bill I only had to pay £260. It varies dealer to dealer as it is up to the dealer to decide NOT Audi UK. It also depends if you have full Audi service history.
