Recently committed to buy a 2.0 TDI 140PS estate, under a year old, with about 8000 miles on the clock.
Went to pick it up, and was told that during final checks, they found the dashboard had failed, reason unknown.
Anyway, dealers were great about it, deposit returned etc, and have now said fault was down to just a fuse.
They've offered a good deal for either the same car (fixed), or a similar one, but with almost 15000 on the clock.
So, I'm torn what to do. Either:
- don't buy from them at all!
- buy the fixed one
- buy the one with more miles, same price
The failure just worries me a bit, but it may well be "one of those things...."... Maybe?
Opinions welcome! :-)
Thanks,
dafad.
