New to the forum, but definitely not new to german cars. One of my first cars was an 84 Scirocco with Kamei X1 body kit. Loved it to pieces. Also had a 73 beetle that I put a baja kit on and a turbo. I've owned many VW's, Audi, BMW, and Porsches. Right now I have;
- a 2000 VR6 Jetta, black, that I use for body / interior parts mostly that I wrecked last year and is very crumpled in the front (no insurance)
- a 1999 Jetta 2.0, blue, GL with 5 speed and cloth interior daily driver
- a 1999 Jetta 2.0L, blue, GLS auto with leather mainly highway trips (and needs a G38 sensor in trans right now)
- an 2001 Jetta 2.0L, black, GL auto with cloth interior that i'm working on getting back to perfect
- an 2003 Jetta GLS, grey, 1.8T 5 speed that I'm trying to make more power out of and want to get into the 10's in the 1/4
- an 84 Porsche 944 that I've owned for about 12 years and have repainted orange and easily dropped $40-50k into that's a bit of a baby
So, I love german engineering! Sue me. Looking forward to seeing and hearing how the 'scene' is across the ocean!
