Audi phone dock

just seen this on ebay ,

image of phone cradle below ,the phone would sit in the dock, BUT what is the lead plugged into the side for ?

Have iPhone 3GS

Don't bother then as it's only an expensive charger as the iPhone doesn't use RSAP to make use of the external aerial.

I thought it would work like the one below (using the cars built in aerial)

Google it, basically the iPhone doesn't have it and never will and uses HFP to communicate with the car.

So you're paying £100 for an over expensive charger you can get for less than £5.

It might improve signal an eensy weensy little bit (ie not alot to warrant price) but not £100's worth of improvement.

pretty sure audi main dealers wouldn't tell them - that's even if they know.
