A4 radio on the blink

My A4's radio seems to be having probs. Have taken it to a garage where they informed me that the aerial amplifier needs replacing, has anybody else had this problem and how was it fixed?:1zhelp:

I think i recall reading somewhere that the amp for the aerial is located somewhere in the side of the boot and could possibly be a simple job you could undertake yourself. You have some searching and reading to do. Welcome to the forum too.
