The signage on the rear of the GT Sport simply has 'Golf' on the left and 'TSI' on the right as shown here, I took delivery last week.

thanks alot
but i asking how can i distinguish between
the engines 1.4 TSI -> 103kw / 140ps and 1.4 Tsi ->125kw / 170ps

both of them is TSI and u know that sign can be added or removed:o

so i want to know How can i distinguish between them from the under hood [i mean by a special part from the engine code or any clear difference unique in the1.4 125kw / 170ps under hood and not presents in the 1.4 103 / 140ps

thanks

I'll check my 170PS tomorrow and let you know if there's anything under the hood but as you already said in your first posting, the twin exhaust is exclusive to the 170PS so why bother looking for any other indicator?

The engine code for the 1.4 TSI 170PS (125KW) is BLG, if I can see this anywhere under the hood I'll let you know.

There's nothing under the hood to say if it's the 140 or 170 ps model.

170 in TDI and TSi both have Twin Pipes. Does this count?

I've got the 140 TDi, I love the performance, but the handling leaves something to be desired.

It doesn't handle as well as my old Pug, that I could really sling into corners, this if I were to try doing that I'd end up in the bushes! :aargh4:

The finish is excellent, but there are things I don't like, like the folding mirrors not folding back automatically when you lock the car for one!

just took mine to awsome today and had some eibach coilovers and it really seam to have made a big change. feels alot more planted and i can put it in a corner with alot more confidence now.

and also i love the car, mines the 170. dont really kniow of any other things that differ between them other than what had been said.

im soon to be chipping mine so ill have an extra 35 bhp and about the same in torque. 205bhp should just about do it for power. then just the breaks that are ermm... not to good to put it nicely.

any question please ask and i will try to answer a.s.a.p

careful about remapping the 170 TDi. Apparently the DPF can get clogged up with the re map causing all sorts of issues.

Revo, Superchips and our very own Chip N Spin re-map the 170. There was issues because of the DPF but I think they have all got their maps sorted out now. Chip N Spin could let you know more about this. Although it's probably pushing between 180 and 192 as standard.

To be honest mate there's little or nothing in it between the GT Sport an GT just a little namechange to keep the sales rolling, My old man has a GT sport and I have the GT and if it wasnt for the different color's ( Silver / Black ) Ide never be able to tell difference except the "GT sport" badge on front grill
