Hi everyone.
I have just bought a 1995 VW Transporter T4 Mk1 1.9D as my daily runabout and as a means to transport my radio control model aircraft around the place. I am looking for advice on improving this aged beastie, preferably cheaply, in order to improve looks, ride and handling. It is high mileage (223k) but starts first time every time.
Known faults are (and have been for the last 200K apparently):
1. Oil px light stays on 99% of time. Oil levels are good and engine seems happy.
2. Coolant temp light stays on 99% of time. Coolant levels fine.
Claim to fame, it's first owner was David Dickinson (the orange antiques bloke)
My normal car is my 2000 Jaguar XJ8 3.2 V8 which is a monster!
