Are these the correct AMI parts ?

Good afternoon all.

I saw an AMI unit come up and snapped it up so as not to miss out. I wasn't able to access the info Chris_A6 passed on at the time but i recognized the part number. Once delivered i noticed that the letter 'a' was missing off the end of the part number. Does this make a difference to the unit in anyway ??

The unit also came with a lead and a harness. I presume I would need to buy an ipod cable to plug into the lead. And i am guessing that the harness i have needs replacing as it apparently came out of an A5.

From what i was told I am hoping this is all i need then i can look to get it fitted:

AMI module is correct although you need this harness - AMI Audi Music Interface w/iPod - Harness - Audi A4 8K w/CAN-36418-1 (http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/audi/a4/a4-b8-8k/ami-audi-music-interface-w-ipod-harness-audi-a4-8k-w-can)

That middle thing looks like an extender so you might need that, then just pick your leads for example - Genuine Audi AMI (Audi Music Interface) iPod & USB Set | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Audi-AMI-Audi-Music-Interface-iPod-USB-Set-/301066143266?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4618f0c622)

Not sure what the bottom picture is but looks not well made and you'd be better off with the harness I linked above.

That bottom pic looks like the rain/light sensor harness !?

The supplied harness looks a bit of a hash but does fit into the ami. Not anything like the kufatec one, so will be sending it to the bin shortly !

Hoping it's quite straight forward to fit into the head unit then I will contact someone to get it switched on.

Basically the bottom pic is the kufatec loom but without the plug 'n' play ability.

Fitting will be simple and all will become clear when you have the radio out.

I had hoped the days of wincing when pulling at car parts to remove them so as not to break clips was over - no chance ! Lol.
