Hi guys,

As some of you may already know I traded my 2008 a6 avant for a 2009 a4.

With my girlfriend pretty much having it since we got it I didnt have a chance to give it a clean until today. its only now ive noticed that both headlights have slight cracking in the corners...

What id like to know is where do I stand with this under my 1 year warranty that I got when I bought the car? Also the clutch is starting to judder so I think the flywheel may need to be done. Would this be covered too?

Thanks in advance for any input

Take it straight back you'll be covered for the headlights at least.

Thanks chris. I actually did mention the clutch to the sales man when test driving it but it only done it once and was fine, starting to do it a little more now thou

What miles are on it?

I'd give it a couple of weeks just to make sure you're use to the different clutch.

Should be ok under warranty for the lights, to be honest and blunt, no to the led xenon units. Requires a lot more than just the headlamp unit itself.

What else needs changing for the upgrade to the xenon's. If they would give the newer lights I wouldnt mind doing the rest myself if it was just a few new connections

Self levellers for the suspension, adapter leads, headlamp washer jet system setup, control modules, new bumper, wiring, relays, piping, maybe a new CCM too.

Oh rite!! Thats a bit too much. New headlights will do the job. Ill report back when I visit them

Quick update. Went back to the dealer today and the new headlights are being ordered.

They told me that it was due to the coating on the lights from factory, apparently if its put on too thick then it can cause this cracking! Came straight from the warranty sheets he had printed off
