I have seen a kit advertised where you can drill and tap out to a larger size.
My temporary solution was to fit a band from the sump bolts around sump, with a bolt placed where it could be tightened against the sump bolt.
Motor factors stock lots of sump pans, so that would really be the best solution in the end.

Hi,

Looks like there is a solution of a re tap and I will update you on this. In the mean time I have just discovered this hand little thing (http://www.quickvalve.co.uk/index.htm)

hmm, that looks good. once someone knows you have it, it would be too easy for them to drain your sump. why not get an oil extraction tool like a pela or sealey. far easier and less mess than that silly sump plug, and you can suck the oil out your oil cooler.

If you clean it up well and seal it with EP 200 it won't leak again. Buy a oil pump as Zollaf already said. Helicoils don't really work on sumps
