Just saying hello... Long-time VW owner just pulled the trigger and I'm picking up my 2010 A4 2.0 TFSI S-Line Quattro on Monday, very excited.

There will almost certainly be lots of dumb questions from me as I get used to it :)

I've been looking for one for ages but it's taken a while to find just the right spec, this one's got 19" wheels, satnav, S-tronic and heated seats which my wife insisted on :)

Any teaser pics?

You might want to consider using chrome trim to fill in the slots in the grill. Can't supply pics as on the move at the moment but I think it would work on that combination.

Looks lovely and nice spec.

Mine has a similar grill - not sure what the chrome trim is or looks like.

Looking good.

I think ru55 is referring to the chrome slats you can buy on ebay, around £25 i think. The S-line grill has small horizontal indents in the slats to allow the chrome inserts to be added.

Similar look to an S4 grill, just the other way around. I was going to buy them but went for an RS4 style honeycomb grill instead!

thanks for for posting the picture. Rather than buying the strips pre cut to size I spent less than £10 on eBay buying a roll of adhesive chrome strip and simply cut it to size. Took less than 30 mins ensuring to measure twice and cut once. A tip I found was to trim certain of the strips at an angle for best fit. I did this to one end before fitting and the did other end in situ as I had planned a few extra mm's spare to accommodate.

Personally it made my black sline look better.

Welcome fellow newbie!

Nice motor, nearly bought the TFSI myself but with the miles I do it had to be the derv burner. Apart from the engine/colour, it's seems pretty similar to mine.

I love those wheels (mine has them) but by crikey are they susceptable to kerb damage! Alloygators are most definitely on my shopping list!

Interesting, I'd not heard of those. Nice idea.

Grrrrr already kerbed one of the alloys :(

Can't get my hard disk to work with the ami either, will start a new thread for that.
