hi iam a new member thinking of buying a 2004 tdi se 2004 newer shape golf from a local garage is it has 100k on the clock how many miles are these good for also it has had a new turbo in the last couple of years does this concerns anybody it has full service history. what mileage should the clutch be changed and an idea on price with fitting for this . at this time i have a 2.0 ghia saloon focus it only does 26 to the gallon is this car more economical than my focus thanks mark.:Blush:

welcome. the 1.9 tdi is a fine engine. looked after they will go on for many miles. neglect it and it will cost you dearly.i would not be concerned that it had a new turbo. maybe it was wrongly diagnosed and replaced when it didn't need to be, who knows. the clutch and dmf should be changed when they need it, depends how its been driven. you should see double what your focus did.
