It would seem that I have an intermittent fault on my rear right passenger door as I have noticed that it doesn't always unlock with the rest of the doors when I double press the fob or press the "unlock all" button from the cabin.

Thank you in advance.

After a quick google of the fault code this appeared - Door Does Not Open and Stays Locked - AudiWorld Forums (http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2828655)

On a A6 but same fault code.

Cheers Chris... so that thread points at re-coding the battery although no-one really confirms if that fixes the issue. The Auto-Scan that I just did didn't indicate anything towards the battery but I'll go into controller 61 (if I have it) and see if there are any faults.

I have been doing short journeys recently + it has been quite cold in the mornings, perhaps I should live with it until I do a long run to see if the problems disappears?

No luck with that!

Controller 61 isn't installed in my car.

I must admit seems a bit odd re-coding a battery to make the central locking work... A bit like changing a light bulb to make the kettle work!

I'll live with it a while and see how it is after a long run. If I can't fix it I'll ask for it to be looked at when it is next serviced (good excuse to have it done sooner rather than later)

If anyone has any ideas, feel free to chime in!

This looks like it could be the problem...

A6 2007 Passenger door lock won't open from outside. (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?127842-A6-2007-Passenger-door-lock-won-t-open-from-outside&p=719411#post719411)

How do I go about finding out the part number for my actual car?

Audi? eBay? Take the door card off? or PM Crasher on here and he should help out.

Is that not the part number on your posted scan.

4F2 837 015 quoted in that thread just above is the actual door lock and is different from the door module I believe.

Obviously it wont be a 4F part but seems they're two seperate bits.

I have had this issue also. Mine seems to have fixed itself after being in and having a software upgrade and an overnight trickle charge to boost the battery from the dealership.

It was very annoying and embarassing having to open the door from the inside by reaching round from front door.
