No oil level on MMI after oil change

Audi A4 B8 2009

Just completed my 1st oil/oil filter change after 10K of driving since owning the car. The MMI display was showing close to the min level mark

Syphoned out 3 litres, and poured back in 4.5 litres and still nothing is showing on the display with regards to min/max

I now have no idea how much oil is in there, but have no warning lights saying its to low or too high.

Any ideas ?, doesn't anything need to be reset ?

OK - ignore the above. Took it for a spin and its now showing up as mid level. VCDS shows the level as 77mm, 34 mm is the min level

Fit a proper dipstick, theres a retrofit kit for it.

Been covered a couple of times on here so search for 'dipstick retrofit'.
