Car's going back.... Whens the B8 Due ?

Hi, I need to choose a replacement for the Passat in January 2014, I've liked the Passat enough to have another one... However I've recently read that it's replacement is due next year, is this correct and if so when?

I keep my cars for three years and don't relish the idea of getting a new car which is then an "old" model after 6 months :(

I had a B6 for 4 years, brilliant, not one problem with high mileage.

I got a B7 hoping for the same, better looks /refinement etc. Seats in B7 really bad in comparison.B7 performance/economy very good.

The B6 went in never, the B7 four times in 6 months, two more faults for the new year :(

Beginning to feel, B6 over engineered, B7 victim of downturn ?

Well, the decisions been made.

After looking at BMW, Mercedes and Audi I've ended up staying with VW and went with a CC GT, looking forward to it :D

Nice positive comment... Thanks for the input. The next Passat & after that CC will be based on the MQB platform, so it won't be "recycled" any more. Not that it was prior, more of a face lift... is that allowed?

Also my CC has been put back 2 - 3 weeks apparently :mad:
