I noticed when driving a A6 multi that it needed 2000rpm before reversing up a not so steep driveway.
When was the fluid last changed?

Dont know - just purchased the car - only has 50,000 miles - just not used to an automatic that uses clutch control . do you think this is ok?

"They all do that Sir".
And they'll do a fair rate on the flat in reverse. The Speedo still works......

The oil on multitronic gearboxes is recommended to be changed every 40k miles so try checking the service history. when I had mine changed about 4months ago they also updated some software on it. Don't know which one made a difference because they were both done at the same time but it certainly helped. My car is a 60 plate.
