Hi all,
Like many others I've been searching for a way to get from SAFE to 1000 on my VW Gamma so I can enter the code and now I've finally found the answers!
Follow this link to a great German page with all stereos listed (with pics) & how to enter the code for each:

I don't speak German so I used Alta Vista Babel fish to translate the page (just paste in the above link & select German to English):

I have music again! (Mine apparently is a Gamma 4 and I had to hold down TP & TA as I don't have MODE & SCAN buttons)
