i have an SE model with the plain black 'blank' panels, i know that the models with the holes are for the distance sensors on the cruise control, but there are quite a few images on the web with what is clearly spot of fog lights fitted into these panels somehow. have any of the members or suppliers or even the experts any idea on how this is possible

I know on the C7 A6 cars with Halogens had fog lights in the space you mention, I've never seen an A7 with lights in that area apart from the ACC sensors you describe.

If it were me, I wouldn't go making someting that shouldn't be there, would look very odd and out of place imo.

thats why i am asking this question here. the last thing i want to do is spoil the look by making a hash of this. if you look at A7 front images on the web their are some beautiful ones of the car with these lights fitted, some with a light blue tint to them, i think they are using the cruise control eye panels so these are a perfect fit but i have no idea what lights are used, maybe the A6 ones which are available, the same rounded shape and have an angle on the lens.

Front Fog lights aren't an option on the A7 at all, they all have "all weather" lights on the front. I cant find the photos you were on about can you post the pictures up?

They are not lights. They are sensors (thus they don't light up)

I can't see the point of even thinking about putting lights on the front other than for cosmetic reasons. If the latter, go for the sensors. I doubt additional lights will give any benefit over the xenons. Also as mentioned above, the all weather lights are really fog lights for bad weather.

it is purely just for cosmetics. i like to be a little different, just want to do it so that it looks good, i have ordered a pair of the ACC grills and will go from there.
