I appreciate the A8 is on the larger side, but I thought I might be getting better mpg.
I'm more a cruiser on the roads and on the motorway I'm getting at a struggle 32mpg. Around town it sucks big time at around 20ish.

I have 20" alloys and dont have the AC on so is it a thing I have to accept or perhaps a remap?

Anyone comment on their MPG?

Many thanks

Same engine in my A6 and same MPG around town and m'way, although 36 is more a regularity but thats not using CC.

I think a remap from 233 will see about 270 from reading on here, if you want more then you need exhaust upgrades.

Is your MPG from the computer or from filling "brim to brim" from the same fuel pump? Worth doing a B2B to get an accurate reading since the computer can be miles (no pun intended) out +/-.

Last tank was 460 miles.
See how it goes.
Thanks

What size of tank is in the A8, again that's roughly what I'm getting from 80L.

According to the Web its a 90ltr tank. I'm getting the car remapped this week. I'll report back.

Hi there, Right, going to get the car mapped, hopefully tomorrow.
Guy reckons 5-6mpg better. Think I can get a slightly better map that will give me 10mpg or am I asking a little to much here?
Not interested in power or top speed but a nice cruiser...
A6 chris?

Maybe not 10mpg but definitely 5-6/7 is definitely achievable.

Some tuners offer eco maps, power maps and a-bitta-both maps so up to you! I'd love to get mine mapped but my the warranty bods say no! :(

I appreciate they up the torque, but can you lean out the mixture to get a better consumption, or does it not quite work like that?
Thought diesels ran at something like 17:1 compression.
Thanks Chris and usual.
