2006 model 1.6 gearbox problems

Has anyone come across the 1.6 gearbox that wont come out of reverse unless the car is completely stationary??
I'm on Box #2 and it hasnt improved. VW say it is a "characteristic", but I think its a pile of excuses.
Anyone any tips?

Yes I have problems too, however I am unable to get the car out of reverse, even when stationary, and have to start and stall the car several times. You made contact with VW; have they encountered this problem before?
