Hi ALL

I Have a Golf 1.6 auto having idle issues

Revs will hold at 825rpm then rise and hold at 1000rpm and will only fall back to 825 for 30 secsonds before rising back to 1000rpm

VCD Showing no errors... Coolant temp sensor reads as it should be and tried disconecting the MAF and same problem

Any pointers to a solution

I Have also tried looking for somer typical values i should be seeing in VCD but cant find any either around on the internet

Plenty of info for passat thou

Thanks in advance

Check your plugs and vacuum lines. I'd also check the air and fuel filter. If possible get your fuel pressure checked

Hi

Thanks for your feedback

Is there any common vacuum leak areas to look out for

It's not a turbo. Just check any pipes on the induction side make sure they're tight at the joints and not split

In theory yes, in basic settings 04, group 060 but before you should clear the learnt values in Adaptation 10 group 00 and after you should re-adapt the EGR valve (if fitted) in Basic Settings 074 and re-match the throttle output to the gearbox in 063.
