Until my new car gets delivered to me! Not that I'm counting or woke up early with excitement - honest!

Something tells me M1tchy is too busy driving to post pictures ;)

Now the thing on my mind is:
Should I buy
- A3 1.8 black-black (can get one in 3-4 weeks)
- A7 beige-beige(can get one in 2 months)
- a custom built A6 Avant exactly the way I want it (will not get it until well into next year)....

choices choices...

Depends what you need the car for?

Depends what you need the car for?

That would be the good question:
- A3 is very good value for the price for sure and is definitely easier to drive in the backstreets of Tokyo where I live
- I got to drive the A7 for some days while in US recently (small hickup at the car rental made them give me a better car!) and the car was so great to drive that it actually got me into looking at owning a car again for the first time in the 16 years I have been working abroad. Especially I fell in love with the comfort seats. First car seats I have ever been in where my back do not start to complain after a few hours. Fabulous!
- A6 Avant, I used to have an old Mercedes station wagon that got into my hands through some odd events in my teenages. I completely fell in love with the amazing versatility of that class of cars. The trunk space in the A7 is pretty impressive as well though.

So, it is low price and ease of handling in narrow city streets vs. comfort on longer drives (which is actually my main reason to buy a car, but I am not sure how much driving I will do inside of Tokyo vs. outside once I actually have a car)

I will probably go for the A3 initially and figure out what my driving patterns ends up being. Then upgrade in a while if I feel the need.
I am far from sure though despite a few test drives. Love the comfort and technology of the A7/A6 and the comfort seats are just fantastic for my much longer than usual back.

Well, sorry for the delay! Been busy playing with buttons and gadgets and getting admiring looks! The car turned up absolutely disgustingly dirty and they said it was just road film! Bull S@:!. I've just washed it and found a kerbed alloy which 100% wasn't me and the back half of the car was covered in specs of rust and rusty metal flakes that were bonded to the paint. Just had to clay it and it's only a day old! A letter will be on its way to Audi tomorrow!

Anyway signed for it and have just admired it since. Drives amazingly well and the tech is just out if the world amazing. Waiting for the sun to set now so I can go and play with the night vision!

Very nice, but who was the supplying dealer. This is not Audi's standard.

Very nice indeed but I would not be writing a letter. I would be on the phone instantly to the supplying dealer demanding that they explain themselves and making it very clear they I am looking to them to resolve the problems immediately

Thanks. I will enjoy it one day. It is in with my local dealer for a couple of unbearable rattles from the drivers door and the passengers door.

This is the third time it has been in and its not a week old yet! ARGHHHHH
