It's at the dealer!!!

Well I was quoted December for delivery when I ordered, that then dropped to the end of Oct when the order got to the factory and then I got a call on Friday afternoon saying my car was at the dealer! So excited!

My private plate is on (it sort of says Mitch but with a 63 in the middle) and it just needs taxing and it's mine!

I've seen a lot of talk on here about getting the red cable for the MMI system but is that all I should be looking for / checking on collection? (Along with making sure some chimp hasn't scratched that paint like on my last new car by washing it with what looked like wire wool)

They offered me "driven delivery" at the end of the week but I think that means they want to drop it off to me? No way is someone else putting the first 300 miles on my car! Hopefully I can collect it on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Well the dealer can't do a collection before Monday but can drop it off to me on Friday! I told them there is noway that they are putting the first 300 miles on it so they have offered to put it on a car transporter and drop it off at the hotel I'm staying at! (And they will pay half the costs!) not a bad result and I don't have to go out of my way to get it!

Friday is going to be a long wait!

Me too. I've got a niggling feeling something isn't right (colour, engine, spec or something like that) but the pics tomorrow will put me at ease for the main part.

had a 2 day test of a biturbo, and was impressed. So much so have one on order, mad I know ! similar spec to your by the looks.
Just wondered how your finding it after a few months of use ?

I am loving it. I've just done a trip from the south west to north west wales on twisty country roads and it was amazing. Averaged 38 mpg and had a full load so it wasn't too bad. I've reviewed a few of the gadgets in a few topics in the A7 section and the car in general in A7 owners reviews which may be of use to you?

The engine is amazing and had a little blast through a tunnel today - WOW!

Yeah the time does go slowly when you are waiting for a new car. So worth the wait though. I've had so many positive comments from completely random strangers about the car. Don't think ill ever tire of getting them!

The ride is really good too even on 20's, just a pain to keep them clean. :-(
