Guys (and gals),

I've been reading about the LED OEM bulbs that come on the 2013 A4 model - the part number is 4G0-943-021. Apparently these require a wiring loom to fit on each bulb if bring used with earlier models.

Has anyone tried fitting these to a 2010 a4 and successfully avoided any warning light errors?

If errors appear on the dash is it a fix using resistors?

After a few duff buys i finally got mine from Buy Audi car parts, spares and accessories | PPCGB (http://www.ppcgb.com/vehicles/audi)

They fit with no errors whatsoever, my car is a 2011 A8 but i presume they will do the A4 also..Worth a look.

A4 S Line (SE) October 2010

So I decided I didn't want any after market bulbs or messing with resistors so I tracked down http://www.emtuning.co.uk/ who have been very helpful. They supplied:

2 x Genuine OEM Audi Number Plate LEDs - £34
2 x Conversion wiring loom - £20
P&P - £2

In all took 10 mins to fit.

Package came very well padded :

When you opened the package there were 2 x LED number plate lights and 2 x wiring looms:

The quality of the looms is simply brilliant! All parts are genuine Audi.

I used an upholstery tool (from eBay) I had to remove the old number plate bulbs. Simply push in from the right hand side to apply pressure to the metal catch and it pops out. All very simple. Once they popped out I detached the loom and attached the new looms supplied for the LED fitting:

Then, simply attach the new LED bulb:

And voila, here is the final result with NOT dashboard errors:

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to fit some canbus ones from ebay?

Probably, but then again I've heard people having issues with ones that are "guaranteed error free" plus these don't look chav-tastic and I have the benefit of the genuine parts guarantee if they happen to break.

I guess I just prefer OEM.

going OEM LED's you get an even light spread, with the bulbs in the normal there is always a part in the middle of the plate that wont light up.
