Hi all,

I'm sure it will have been asked before but I can't find a definitive answer.

For all the bulbs in a 2008 B8 A4 SE, what can be changed to LED without changes and what can be changed after enabling Highline mode in vagcom?

I want to change the headlight DRL and indicators and fogs. I think the wing mirror indicators are already LED but if not then them as well then all the bulbs in the rear clusters. It seems that the Sub lighting on the interior are already LED but the courtesy light and maplights I would like to change. If there are any I have missed, pelase let me know. but I want to get rid of as many filament bulbs as possible and I think the only ones I can't change are main and dipped beam headlights.

From the above, is there a supplier that sells all these that has proven to be reliable and sell good LEDs?

Any help will be appreciated.

Danny

i have changed most of my lights on my audi a4 B8

for the headlight i have H7 PHILIPS DIAMOND VISION they look like you have HIDS they have a nice blue tint. does say on the box that they are not road legal but i have had them for 3 year and has passed MOT without any problems. if your going to buy them from ebay only buy them from uk seller dont get them from china.

for the fog lights i have MTEC 12v 55w COSMOS BLUE HID CLASS UPGRADE BULBS again very nice blue tint and brighter then most leds once except if you get the cree leds.

for day running lights will have to buy part number 8J0 941 607 from audi need 4 of them.

day running light p13w = Xenon White CREE Q5 20W High Power Fog Light Driving Headlight DRL Bulb 12v-24v | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xenon-White-CREE-Q5-20W-High-Power-Fog-Light-Driving-Headlight-DRL-Bulb-12v-24v-/221150806736?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item337d9d82d0)
the bulb size you need is p13w get the cree led once the link are the one's in my car they are very bright.

Auto bulb specialist offering HID lights, LED car lights and much more (http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/) is a good place to get they bulbs from (hid direct is the company)

for interior lights Audi A4 LED install How to - B8 Chassis 2009 - Present - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ELiqsGjOqQ) this is a good video.

hope this helps

The person whoever posted the PDF version of our website might want to remove that due to copyright. There is a warning at the bottom of each page saying do not copy.

The original link is here - VW AUDI Forum - VWAF (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?129584-quot-How-to-quot-replace-A4-B8-Halogen-DRL-bulbs-with-P13w-LED-s)

Headlights, go for Osram Nightbreakers or Philips Xtreme Vision, these are not blue and ARE road legal. Do not use LEDs in dipped and main beam.

Interiors can be got online, if you want me to pass on supplier details of who I got mine off please ask.

LEDs in the rear cluster you will need loads of resistors and enabling the Highline option won't do anything. If you want proper LEDs then get the OEM LED clusters off eBay or a damaged car and do it properly.

Thanks for the detailed replies. A6_Chris, if you could pass on the supplier details I would be grateful . I think I will need to find all the interior bulbs and see what sizes I need.

Can the indicators in the headlights be replaced with orange LEDs or are there issues with the resistance causing the onboard computer thinking they have blown?

I have read the thread about the LED rear clusters and it seems almost like a stock market with the way the prices change for these.
