Do a reboot, hold in SETUP+Central MMI Knob+Inner top right soft key and report back.

What mmi system is fitted? I suggest getting it on VCDS if you already haven't done so.

Do you have a large colour screen above the centre air vents?

Vcds is the diagnostic tool for vag cars. If you look at the map link in my signature hopefully there's someone near you who could scan your car, let me know and I will bring their attention to this thread as you don't enough posts to PM yet.

Have you tried connecting a phone and see if it stops?

More than likely they'll have vcds, did you get a printout?

Can you get him to run a optical test on the car?

I think its in the applications menu within vcds. Also you should disconnect the Bluetooth module under the carpet under the passenger seat and plug this into the fibre cable Fiber MOST optic loop AUDI MMI 2G, 3G, 3G+ A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q3, Q5,Q7 | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiber-MOST-optic-loop-AUDI-MMI-2G-3G-3G-A4-A5-A6-A7-A8-Q3-Q5-Q7-/200958441627?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2eca0e789b) and that will stop it.

I think the bt module is at fault but get him to do the optical test.

just asking the question now to see if he can do it for me otherwise my post code is L117ae to see if there is anyone else in my area, when I go on the map it takes me out of Liverpool, unless some one wants to buy a cheap A6 2.7 Quattro Avant with spec;)

You might have to travel a bit or else make arrangements to meet halfway if your specialist can't do it.

Yes when I clicked on it there was a lad in Norwich, well I go to Warrington most days and hes not to far from there so if I get no joy hear maybe hes the one to see,is the module easy to get at under the seat or do you have to remove the seat first

Yes if you unplug a module it will cause the MMI to shut down. If you use one of those loops I linked previously the MMI will run without the BT module.

Did you contact a8 tech?

I see what you mean now but I'm not up on this sort of thing,so were do I plug the wire in that you said and Ive mailed A8 tech but he said he doesn't like giving his number out and he said hes a master technician and charges 50 pound so I said OK ill pay it and gave him my number but since then he hasn't replied.
