Light problems

I have a RHD 2002 Passat estate 2.0 petrol 115 bhp. I have a back and front light out, have change bulbs to no effect. I have a brake light out, when I replaced it immediately burnt out. Also oil light on but checked dipstick and it is full? Any suggestions gladly received before expensive trip to dealer in Switzerland £££

Oil light on could be the sender which is located right at the bottom of the oil filter housing. Had to replace one on brothers golf pd 115 when the light came on above 2000 rpm

Sorry can't help much, but the brake light was probably a duff bulb try another. I would be interested in hearing about what was wrong when you do get solutions. I think the electrics are by far the worst thing about VW.
