Painting a parking sensor

Hi all,

I have managed to remove a failed parking sensor from my A4. All the replacement ones seem to be unpainted. I guess I can just buy a touch up spray and paint the new sensor.

Any tips for doing this?
How do I prepare it for painting?
Do I need to prime the sensor first or just base coat then lacquer?
How many coats are needed? I assume as few as possible.
