hi guys, long time lurker, ive got a 2000 audi a4 1.9 tdi and the fuel gauge reads zero all the time, ive done the fuse 15 and 28 reboot thing and that doesnt work, ive checked all fuses and relays where possible and wiring, ive had the fuel sender out so i can look in the tank and all the wires are connected fine, the lcd on the dash is virtually unreadable and the little fuel pump picture is showing, what else can i do, what would be the most common thing to go for first, car has done 151k.

Welcome (back!).

Sounds like your dash is at fault, I would be sending it off to BBA Reman for a fix http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=how_to_contact_bba_reman

Have you had the car on a fault computer?

no i havnt had any one with vagcom have a go at it, forgot to say when you turn ignition on, the fuel gauge needle moves ever so slightly but still no where near the red line.

Get it checked out anyway with vagcom, could be something simple.

If you're wanting your LCD fixed then BBA are the people to do it.
