Hi a quick question, i'm wondering if anybody knows how to do the channel settings for xenon adaptation on bi-xenon lights? I have a Snap on Solus Pro, i think i'm doing it right but for some reason the error message listed on ross-tech wiki doesn't come up and they don't alter there setting.

Any help/procedure would be appreciated.

Thanks, Aaron.

You need VCDS to do the Basic Settings on the Xenon module.

Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Xenon Headlamp Adjustment (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/xenonalignment.html)

I need it? I can get into the relevant channels and i alter to what i see as correct but nothing changes. I went in through expert mode and Snap on themselves told me to use Ross-tech wiki leaks information to do it with the machine.

I know one time the adaptive range error came on a hire car and I reset it with the basic settings followthrough up there.

Whats exactly wrong with them?

I'm going to France as of next week and need to change the adaptation for tourist mode so I don't get pulled for dazzling people.

Oh you never mentioned that you see.

Can to get into Adaption Channel 10, no?

Check on the top or rear of the headlamp for a manual lever thing as I remember seeing some had this as an alternative to tourist mode.

You must have had a guinness on your thirsty eyebrow to miss his post lol.

Did you enter security access codes 1st as adaptations need this for some, subject to the version of headlights fitted.

Security Access
02000 > 03000 > 04000 > 05000 = General Adaptation "Enabling" (Enter one after another)

the security access confuses me a little, from what i remember i go into expert mode on my scanner, it finds my car with all its info, i find channel 55 and then put adaptation channel 10 and change to 1 but with not effect....where do i enter security access keys?

On VCDS there is a button that says Security Access, I assume this is what you're missing on your diag tool.

As above unless you have security access button, you cant use that facility, so find a friendly member local or buy vcds :)
