Any one using OEM LED tail-ligts on your MkV Golf?

Hi,

Has anyone installed these new OEM LED lights that came into the market recently?
I am somehow tempted but don't know how easy would be to install them on my GTI.

They look nice, fitting would be a doddle. I wrote a How to on the rear light clusters.

I read recently on a motorcycle forum that these can cause a few problems with flasher units, due to the fact that the car thinks the bulb has blown, due to the lower power consumption. This causes the flasher unit to flash faster than normal. Not a biggie though, think you just need to fit a resistor somewhere - i'm sure the light vendor can explain how and where.

Just something to look into :)

As an afterthought, this might even cause slightly more confusion for the ecu :confused:
