Hi Guys,
This is my first post on the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong place. About a week ago my Radio lost reception on all channels. The names of the stations no longer coming up and all I can hear is muffled talking or noise when it is switched on.
From reading through many many forums and people with the same issue it would at first appear to me to be the ANTENNA AMPLIFIER.
However, I have not found a single thread on the B8 Model having this issue. It all seems to be the older models and mainly due to the amplifier being in the roof which then gets effected by heat and cold causing it to crack.
I think that I have located the the two amplifiers (both in the rear offside of the car behind the boot lining). I have had the radio on and tried "playing" with the wiring to get a better connections in case it was something simple however no joy.
I have also taken it to an Audi specialist who did a full diagnostic yesterday and the that did not seem to throw up any faults so the technician suggested possibly a wiring fault.
Can anyone shed any light on what I am to do next or if this is something that the B8 is known for.
Its not the end of the world as its only the Radio but would really like to get to the bottom of this.
