I recently fitted a big aftermarket sub woofer in my A4, it workes really well alongside the stock speakers and sounds great using a high pass filter on them and a low pass filter to the new sub, however the rear parcel shelf which seems to be made of hardboard and rest on top of the metal shelf int he boot rattles a lot and creates noisey vibrations.

I wanted to remove this shelf and put soem foam in between it and the metal shelf to remove the vibration noises, my seats do not rop down, I was wondering how i remove the shelf please ? I have tried by pushing the plastic clips up from underneith and pulling on the shelf but it doesnt seem to want to move.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I don`t no how to remove these parts but I have now noticed that you can get a haynes
manual for the A4 2001 - 2004, best place to look is on Ebay at around £18.00.

handy, they are cheap too, but no V6 / quattro yet so althougth bits like this will be the same its not the 1 for my car, ide rather find out this from here and wait for the correct haynes to becoem available before I buy it.

Thanks
