Latest Passat diesel 177

Any info would be most welcome. We have a 2009 170 tdi PD and are looking to replace it with possibly a 177. If anyone has one of the new models any info regarding performance/ economy balance would be really useful. I'm particularly interested in the increased torque which should give a bit of oomph. Our current car is a DSG and we would be looking to have the same.

The one thing you will notice is it's going to have a smoother delivery with a CR in it, fuel from what I can glean will be about 35-40mpg urban and anything from 45 - 60 on a motorway jaunt, it won't do what the book says, I'm basing this on what an Octavia owner said to me about his 1.6TDi DSG which is listed as 53 mpg urban and something like 70mpg extra.
