Bike rack that does not require light board?

Does anyone know of any bike racks that can be used on the A3 without having to attach a light board? I don't have a towbar and the electrical connection to plug the light board into and I'd rather not fork out to get one fitted. It's a 2008 3dr 2.0L TDi (170). Thanks

Just baught one from halfords they have one on offer. Its about £60-70. Used on my 5door sportback. holds em higher than lights and numberplate! :)
