Hi all
this is just really to let people know that i managed to activate tpms today on my 2008 b8 a4
it has the AS abs module which states it cant be done but after going through all the programming on VCDS the option came up in my MMI and the option to store current tyre pressure was there, clicked store and all seems ok
have to run through the 'teach in process' and check it all works ok, but all seems ok so far
hill hold assist next then

Excellent - you might get a rouge warning in 100 miles or so as it learns the rotations of the tyres. Just reset and continue.

Have you tested it yet?

So if I try this and it does not work, is it just a case of undo the changes or can it harm anything?

Yep only a matter of unticking the tpms and hill hold option boxes if it doesn't accept it.

Hi

I tried this a while ago on a 1AS abs module with no success. Had to use vcds as my car only has the basic radio. What module type did your car have fitted?
Wonder if later modules like mine with stop start MY10 are different

These are some of the details I can see from looking at the top of the module, think this is the right number,
8k0614517df / 08020715

do you not get the options in the screen to store tyre pressures? Is it greyed out so you can't click on it?
there are 3 places in vag com to switch it on?

Yes I get the greyed out option, then at the next stage when trying to activate in the ABS module I get an out of range error. Checking on my sticker mine shows as 1AS which is apparently not compatible.

Yeah it weird, mine is 1AS on the sticker but has let me do it all

Did not work for me either. Mine is MY10 with stop/start.
