Just driven 600 miles through France to 3 locations . Sat nav 2012 version didnt miss a beat. Seems far better and more reliable than my Garmin with updated maps. Only downside I can see is cant input destinations by map co-ordinates. Upside is ive driven 600 miles in my Audi :D

Was this the DVD or HDD system?

I have the HDD in my A5 and it is an improvement on the 3G I had in my '59 A4. Searching using Google is just so useful.

I am in sunny Portugal on my hols and have dug out my old 910 TomTom to use in the hire car. It amazes how good it is for something pretty dated now.

I've got the DVD system, the maps are good, but it only lets you enter the first 4 digits of a postcode then you have to give it the street name, which if you don't know makes the sat-nav useless

was initially impressed with mine but when going to nottingham last weekend i went down the A46 and the new bit of the road around Lowdham which is at least 2 years old, wasn't on it. Took the car to audi on monday and they said it has the most upto date maps so waiting to see if any other roads not on there
